Hindenburg microphones are the result of unbridled vision, a deep desire to produce the very best sounding microphones available today. At Hindenburg- limitations only push us harder, a true visionary takes what shouldn't be done and makes it happen at any cost, the electronic engineers can't stand that type of persistence, but what the mic needs to sound like, and what the mic actually sounds like can result in a chasm between the two.
Vintage inspiration, nothing new under the sun, we agree our circuits are simple with discrete components, no Ic's ever, our main electronic engineer builds high end Neve influenced microphone preamps, so we use the same type of capacitors in the audio path of the best mic pres out there.
Accurate, but colored this is the goal, the Eq curves are always musical on our Mics, never tweaked to enhance the air band frequencies that many mass manufactures do this to mask bad circuits, or cheap capsules, Hindenburg is warm, very natural, familiar, and yet unique.
There are four lines of microphones that we produce Vintage tube, Vintage Fet, and Vintage transformerless. We go from warm colored to fat transistor, to accurate solid state. There also some very innovative "component blending" that we do in our circuits, that no one is doing, it's not an Eq thing, its a selectable component switching, that has some very unique sonic characteristics you will have to listen to the sound samples for that.
At Hindenburg microphones, we are, all artists, engineers, and/or producers, the sound is everything. The Nuemann'esq sound is all over these mics- these are much more than new-old boutique microphones, they will become the new standard in microphone technology.
Hindenburg Audio Path Component Switching
"HAPCS" switches the path of the audio to a different sound set of components in the audio chain via an external switch, this is not an "EQ" trick it's a "blended" component alternative that fattens the signal by running the audio path through a series of reissued half century old components. This is the ultimate in true vintage audio, this is a Hindenburg exclusive, (patent pending) this adds bottom, and low end thump to anything in the line of this microphones audio path, this is one of the secrets of the Hindenburg sound.
